**Why we are & what we do**
We breed for the love of the animals and the companionship they provide. Our rats are chosen for their personalities and health first, looks second. We do NOT sell feeders! All of our rats, babies and adults alike, are treated like our pets, not just breeders. We do not breed for profit. Also not all of our rats at any given time are for breeding, some are retirees or rescues. We average less than fifteen litters per year and focus our energy into those babies born.
We are members of NARR under the prefix RTPK
and members of the Rat & Mouse club of America.

**History of the Rattery**
To introduce ourselves, we are two friends that love rats! Hannah G. and Katie S. Both of us were animal majors: Animal Conservation and Wildlife Management and Zoo Science (respectively) when we met in 2004. And it wasn't long we had our first rats. Momma, Benny and Midget. After being coerced by the three rats' adoring fans, we decided to have a litter and in February 2005 were blessed with our first babies - the Music Lyrics Litter.
We have owned small pets for nearly our entire lives and simply would not be complete without them. And so our rats live with us, are played with, trained, loved and spoiled, just like any pet.
